Exchange of Knowledge Between East and West

Imparting the most current information to physicians caring for patients with intestinal diseases, this journal seeks to identify the basic pathophysiological mechanisms common to different Inflammatory Intestinal Diseases, to compare the environmental conditions involved in their pathogenesis, and to provide important insights into their therapies. Inflammatory Intestinal Diseases thus reduces the gap between clinical and basic sciences as well as between hepatology and inflammatory diseases of the intestinal tract such as inflammatory bowel diseases, celiac disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. Inflammatory Intestinal Diseases also aims to improve the exchange of knowledge between researchers from Eastern and Western countries, which is reflected in the composition of the editorial board. The journal accepts randomized controlled clinical trials, observational studies, and cost-effectiveness analyses as well as commentary type and systematic reviews and consensus statements.
