Digital Health

Digital transformation affects and empowers researchers around the globe in many ways: the new tools, methodologies, and increasing knowledge in digital health allow researchers to gain greater insights within their respective fields.
Logo Digital Health

Welcome to Karger’s overview to digital health. Here you will find an outline to the fast and quickly developing field of IT supported medicine. From fundamental research articles to Social Media discussions, from applied tools to Digital Biomarkers reviews on digital transformations you are invited to broaden your scope of digital health and being supported in crossing various fields of research.

ISCN 2020 is an indispensable reference volume for human cytogeneticists, molecular biologists, technicians, and students for the interpretation and communication of human cytogenomic nomenclature. Being available as a digital product, the ISCN online version has been extended to include the content of the Human Genome Variation Society nomenclature, making chapter 16 of ISCN more comprehensive. Further the online version contains a search engine that makes access to the text easier for general practitioners.

Cover Oncology

Among others, the section “Oncology and Informatics” within Oncology provides the latest research on digital health in oncology. “This evolving field extends beyond the scope and expertise of any single individual; oncology informatics is multiprofessional by nature. The editors covering this section have different backgrounds and aim to provide balanced insights into this area” – says Section Editor Paul Martin Putora.

Cover Digital Biomarkers

The journal Digital Biomarkers recently indexed in PMC bridges the disciplines of computer science, engineering, biomedicine, regulatory science, and informatics. Digital devices such as portables, wearables, implantables or digestibles provide data that can be used to explain, influence, and/or predict health-related outcomes.

In 2020 we will publish an exciting special issue on digital endpoints and will be going to the core of digital health in order to establish how and what we measure to obtain long-awaited results.
