How to access to our content via OpenAthens or Shibboleth.
Karger supports the identity and access management tools Shibboleth and OpenAthens for subscribing institutions. Both Shibboleth and Open Athens provide single sign-on access to subscribed material. Both of these tools provide access to subscribed material from any location using a single identification process, thus eliminating the need for numerous passwords and multiple logins.
Login to your subscriptions via Shibboleth or OpenAthens
Shibboleth
Access via Shibboleth is available to institutional customers located within federations in Switzerland, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, China and the UK. In most cases, the Shibboleth system is free and all software is open source. However, only institutions located within these countries and belonging to a Shibboleth federation can access content via Shibboleth.
To activate access to your online subscriptions via Shibboleth, your library administrator should provide Karger with the name of your Shibboleth Home Organization and your Karger Customer ID. This information should be e-mailed.

OpenAthens
OpenAthens is an access management tool provided by EduServ and is used frequently in the UK. Access via OpenAthens is available to institutional customers upon application and is subject to an annual fee.
To activate access to your online subscriptions via OpenAthens, your library administrator should provide Karger with your Athens Organization ID and your Karger Customer ID. This information should be e-mailed.
