Networks
To connect and advance health sciences we rely on a solid network of strong partners. They support us in our endeavor to produce and distribute high-quality scientific content and to offer our customers and stakeholders high standards of services and products.
The Karger publishing program for the research community encompasses over 100 peer-reviewed journals, including a growing number of Gold and Platinum Open Access journals. Over 200 editors-in-chief affiliated with important clinical or research centers ensure the high scientific standard of the publications. They are supported by around 5,000 editorial board members and close to 10,000 independent experts acting as peer reviewers.
Increasingly, scientists will be able to turn to Karger along the whole research cycle and not just when they are ready to publish their results. Services and partnerships in the Open Research space will be announced soon. The journal homes comprehensively list abstracting and indexing services for each individual journal as well, with service partners ranging from PubMed, MEDLINE and Google Scholar to Web of Science, Chemical Abstracts Service or OCLC’s WorldCat to mention just a few.
The specialized knowhow of our business partners in IT, digital and library science and other sectors enables us to constantly improve, enrich and broaden our services for the international scientific community. We collaborate with Altmetric, Figshare, CrossRef, Rightslink, Portico as well as COUNTER and HINARI and forge new alliances and working relationships when and where needed.
In our Healthcare business unit we have the following cooperations:
- Academia Nacional de Medicina de México – affiliated society
- Sociedad Argentina de Alergia e Inmunopatología – affiliated society
