Effective July 11, 2023, we will be introducing a new partnership with ChronosHub.
Karger Publishers has teamed up with ChronosHub to help our customers and institutions manage Transformative Agreements and different Open Access publishing models at Karger in a flexible, comprehensive, and efficient way.
ChronosHub is a central platform with a 360-degree approach to Open Access (OA) Management. This new collaboration benefits users by fostering effective compliance and license management, as well as providing data analysis and reporting.
ChronosHub guides researchers and authors through the different publishing options, making funding policies and institutional agreements transparent and allowing easy author license completion.
How does it work?
You can sign up to use your administrative account in ChronosHub by following these instructions.
Your administrative account provides you with access to your organization’s Agreement Monitoring Dashboard, which allows you to view articles, approve author eligibility, and view & download reports on demand.

What is ChronosHub?
ChronosHub is a central platform with a 360-degree approach to Open Access (OA) Management. Through a collaborative approach, ChronosHub streamlines the workflow for institutions, publishers and funders to effectively manage article processing charges (APC), monitor and report on Transformative Agreements, ensure funding policy compliance, and organize repository deposits.
Why has Karger decided to establish a partnership with ChronosHub?
Karger teamed up with ChronosHub to help our customers and institutions manage Transformative Agreements and different Open Access publishing models at Karger in a flexible, comprehensive, and efficient way. The partnership will play a central role in supporting the transition to Open Science for Karger’s authors and institutional customers. It will ensure that unnecessary barriers to Open Access (OA) publishing are removed and that OA agreements can be managed effectively.

ChronosHub guides authors through the different publishing options, making funding policies and transformative agreements transparent. The platform allows easy author license agreement completion.
What are the main benefits of ChronosHub for institutions?
ChronosHub gives institutions a one stop portal providing a 360 degree overview of their transformative agreements, data analysis and on demand reporting.
When did ChronosHub go live?
Full launch was July 11, 2023. A soft launch (with initially 10 journals) was conducted beforehand for a test period of 3 weeks.
Which journals did go live on the soft launch?
The following journals went live at soft launch:

How do I access ChronosHub if my institution is a customer that doesn’t approve eligibility?
Starting immediately, you can sign up to use your administrative account by following these instructions. Your administrative account provides you access to your institution’s Agreement Monitoring Dashboard, which allows you to view articles and view or download reports on demand. Please ensure that you use the email address provided to Karger for the ChronosHub administrative account, as it is the only one that will be recognized by ChronosHub. You will not be able to access ChronosHub’s dashboard if another email address is used.
How do I access ChronosHub if my institution is a customer that approves eligibility?
Starting immediately, you can sign up to use your administrative account by following these instructions. It provides you with access to your institution’s Agreement Monitoring Dashboard, which allows you to view articles, approve author eligibility, and view reports on demand. Please ensure that you use the email address provided to Karger for the ChronosHub administrative account, as it is the only one that will be recognized by ChronosHub. You will not be able to access ChronosHub’s dashboard if another email address is used.
How do I access ChronosHub if I am a consortium admin?
Starting immediately, you can sign up to use your administrative consortium account by following these instructions. Your administrative account provides access to the Agreement Monitoring Dashboard to view articles and on-demand reporting per agreement related to each institution in the consortium. Please ensure that you use email address provided to Karger for the ChronosHub administrative account, as it is the only one that will be recognized by ChronosHub. You will not be able to access ChronosHub’s dashboard if another email address is used.
Is it necessary for me to sign up to MyKarger with the same email provided as my institution’s admin contact?
Yes. Your admin account in ChronosHub is set up to be used with this particular email address only. If you use another email address, ChronosHub won’t work for you.
Will article data published between January 2023 and the go-live date be consolidated in ChronosHub?
Yes, once ChronosHub has gone live the data will be consolidated. The timeline is to be confirmed.
